Many immediately think of responsible supplier selection and production oversight to ensure ethical standards. And we fully agree: we carefully choose our partners and ensure that the diamonds we use come from certified, conflict-free sources.

Yet, for us, sustainability has a deeper dimension.

It means supporting the people who make our company possible. Guiding, mentoring, and empowering them while fostering a sense of belonging to something greater. It means investing in what truly matters: people. Sharing knowledge, challenges, and achievements. Listening, learning, and recognizing the value of those who contribute every day.

This is why we speak of the “Nanis family.” True sustainability and lasting success are only possible when a company values its people. We are proud of colleagues who have been with us for years, some even decades: Alessandro, who joined as an apprentice in 1998 and is now responsible for production; Fabio, Operations Manager for over ten years; and Annachiara, Head of Shipping.

Supporting these individuals is one of Nanis’ greatest joys, as Laura Bicego, our designer, emphasizes.

Our vision of sustainability is also inseparable from education. Before we are a company, we are lovers of beauty, craftsmanship, and our extraordinary Made in Italy. As artisans, we feel it is our duty – and our privilege – to pass on and preserve this rich artistic and cultural heritage of Italian goldsmithing.

In our atelier, we teach ancient techniques that require years of training to master, such as hand engraving with the milligrain burin, of which we are proud custodians.

This is the sustainability we embrace: tangible, authentic, human. A mission that extends not only to companies but also to consumers, through the choices they make.
